Peanut Punch Trifle Cake

Cake
- 1/2 cup Margarine
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs room temp
- 2 tsps Vanilla Essence concenrated
- 2 cups Cake Flour
- 2 1/2 tsps Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Grace Peanut Punch
Whipped Filling
- 1/2 cup Margarine room temp
- 1/2 cup Bread & Pastry Margarine
- 4 cups Powdered Sugar sifted
- 2 tsps Vanilla Essence concentrated
- 2 tbsps Whipping Cream
- 1/4 cup Grace Peanut Punch
Garnish
- 2 cups Peanuts finely chopped
Cake
Preheat oven at 350F or 180C. Grease and line the bottom of a 6" cake pan with parchment paper.
In a standing mixer; cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time. Beating well between additions. Add vanilla.
Sift flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed butter. Do not over beat.
Slowly add Grace Peanut Punch and beat until fully combined.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a wooden skewer comes out clean when inserted.
Remove from oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes.
Turn cake out of pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
Filling
Thoroughly combine margarine and shortening.
Add Powdered sugar; one cup at a time.
Add vanilla, whipped cream and Grace Peanut Punch. Do not over beat.
Spread generously between layers; coat cake and use chopped peanuts to make border at the base of cake.
While cake is cooling; chop peanuts, prepare filling and/or caramel. For perfect layers, use a cake leveler.
If filling is too thin, add powdered sugar. Too think, add Grace Peanut Punch.
