Breakfast morning at the Centre for Displaced Persons
JTA Hearts & Hands
Brings Comfort and Care to
San Fernando Centre for Displaced Persons
On Sunday 23rd March, 2025, at 8:00 AM, members of JTA Hearts & Hands hosted a special breakfast morning at the Centre for Displaced Persons in San Fernando, providing a warm meal and heartfelt support to 40 male residents.
The Centre plays a vital role in helping to alleviate homelessness in San Fernando by offering shelter and access to basic needs. In addition to a nourishing breakfast—featuring sada roti, fry bake, assorted sides, fruit bowls, juice, and a coffee and tea station—the JTA Hearts & Hands team also made a generous donation of household and laundry products, beverages, and personal hygiene items to support the daily operations of the Centre.
What made the morning even more meaningful was the dedication of JTA employees who volunteered their time—bright and early—to prepare the meal and personally visit with and serve the residents. Their warm smiles and kind words brought an extra layer of compassion to an already thoughtful initiative.
At JTA Supermarkets, we believe that true community impact comes from more than just giving—it comes from showing up. Through JTA Hearts & Hands Outreach, we remain deeply committed to supporting the communities we serve, offering not just goods, but also time, presence, and genuine care.
Together, we continue to make a difference—one meal, one gesture, one community at a time.
