Super Easy 10 Minute Barfi

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Super Cow Full Cream
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 5 whole cardamom pods
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp finely grated ginger

Toppings of your choice:

  • chopped toasted nuts
  • sprinkles
  • dried floral petals
  • edible gold / silver leaf
  • coconut flakes. etc.

Instructions
 

  • Place Super Cow Full Cream powder in a bowl, mix in ground cardamom and then add in room temperature ghee, mix through completely and set aside.
  • Add granulated sugar, water, stick of cinnamon, whole cardamom pods and finely grated ginger to a medium saucepan and stir until sugar has been completely dissolved on medium-low heat.
  • Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally for about 4 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and add the milk powder and ghee mixture to the syrup and stir briskly and continuously until mixture begins to leave the side of the pot/pan (about 6 minutes).
  • Stir in saffron threads (optional).
  • Remove from heat and pour into parchment/sheet lined 8"dish.
  • Smooth over quickly and top with toppings of your choice: chopped toasted nuts, sprinkles, dried petal leaves, edible gold/silver leaves, coconut flakes etc.
  • Lightly press in and set aside to cool for about 45-60 minutes before cutting.
  • Barfi can be stored in an airtight container in a cool place for about 1 week/refrigerated for about 2 weeks.
